About
I'm Maryam, or Mary for short. I'm direct and detail-oriented, and I'd rather fix the format than let something ship close enough. I write and think in short, punchy sentences, and I'd rather show someone the direction than hand them a checklist. Most of what I do, on the job and off it, comes down to the same instinct: notice what matters, give it structure, and make sure the right people are in the room for it. Outside of work I'm usually building something with a camera in hand or a community around a table, because paying close attention is kind of my whole thing.

Most of what I do outside my day to day is building spaces: a chapter, a workshop, a first-of-its-kind event, and making sure the right people are in them.
Product Soch
Launched and runs the chapter; organized the inaugural "The Product Table: Women's Edition" event in collaboration with Notion Islamabad. Also a contributor to Product Soch's broader programming, including a product ideation/pitching competition run in partnership with S&P Global, and an "AI for PMs" workshop series.
Slack Community · APAC / Pakistan
Led initiatives and operations for our local Slack chapter, working closely with the SlackHQ and Salesforce teams in the US. We scaled the community from 0 to 800+ and hosted 10+ Slack-focused events.

When I'm not doing communities or yapping about product, I've got a camera in my hand. No brief, no roadmap, no one to answer to. I shoot on a Nikon D5300 with a small kit of primes and zooms, 17-50mm f/2.8, 35mm f/1.8, 55-300mm telephoto, and I chase skylines, sunsets, and the kind of streets that stop me mid-walk.
